New Success Story from an ERA-MIN 2 project: LIGHTS¡¡¡

SpotMine: From LIGHTS Project Success to a Thriving Geoscience Startup

We are proud to share the story of SpotMine(https://lnkd.in/dYWsCjB5) , a geoscience consulting company born from the success of the LIGHTS project (funded under ERA-MIN 2, 2017). What began as an ambitious R&D initiative has evolved into a dynamic startup that bridges academic research and the mining sector, driving innovation in mineral exploration and sustainable resource development.

Back in 2017, the LIGHTS project—supported by the ERA-MIN 2 cofunded ERA-NET —brought together academic researchers, industry stakeholders, and technology partners to develop breakthrough solutions in mining, materials, and sustainability. Within that collaborative environment, their team developed key technologies and processes that laid the foundation for what is now SpotMine.

Today, SpotMine continues that legacy by combining scientific expertise with practical solutions for the mining industry. Their multidisciplinary team includes specialists across several geoscience fields, with hands-on experience in European projects related to raw material exploration, particularly lithium. They foster dynamic, cooperative partnerships and prioritize the success of every project by applying effective, agile solutions that turn knowledge into results.
